it wasn’t that she didn’t know her way around the city, nor that she wasn’t street smart --- it was just an unfortunate situation that she couldn’t have predicted. when she kept her head down, not making any eye contact with the men, it surprised her when she was grabbed by the wrists & pulled off the street to an alley. mika wasn’t the type to fight back, she was too paralyzed with fear to do anything to protect herself. not to mention, even if she wanted to, these men could easily over power her. being obedient would likely keep her safe from any sort of unintended physical damage. when they leaned in a little too close & teased her like a frightened animal, she would only reply with soft head movements. she couldn’t stop herself from crying already. what woman wouldn’t in this situation, her tears only enticed the gang members, pulling at her top to reveal her bra -- she was glad that was the extent of their touches.
when she was finally left alone, mika sunk down & sat on the ground for a moment, crying her eyes out. when she heard footsteps, her head snapped up -- a look akin to a deer in headlights overtook her features. when she saw that it was a man, her eyes immediately went to the leather jacket he wore. a gang symbol that was enough to make her cower back against the wall. she hoped that he would just walk past her & leave her be . . . but it didn’t seem as if he was going to let her off that easily. “p - please leave me be.” she sniffled, turning her head away from him. the smaller tried to pull the front of her top up to cover her bra, but the men had ripped it so much that it would no longer stay up. without a doubt, she had mascara pooling up under her eyes & her hair was messy from their rough - handling. she hoped that would be enough to make her completely unattractive to the man -- then maybe he wouldn’t even have the want to harass her in the first place.
keeping her head turned away from him, she didn’t want to make eye contact with him. it hadn’t worked the last time, but she was trying not to give him a reason to stay. it may have been shallow to judge him by the jacket he wore, but after such an encounter, she figured that she had a right to be a bit judgemental at the moment.
