he’d bought it too. the pit of his stomach begins to warm, spreading it throughout his limbs and up his chest. no doubt the top of his chest is tinted pink. “mm, and you bought it too.” kirishima props himself up on his forearms, glancing from the hedgehog to denki’s face. “you should keep it. to sleep with, ya’know so i’m always with you.”

“ aw bro! “ the cupcake looks absolutely ridiculous. but that’s what makes it the best thing he’s ever seen. kirishima quickly blows them all out ( careful to angle himself so he’s not blowing smoke right at his friend’s face ) and then swipes up a bit of frosting to place on kaminari’s nose. “ thanks! help me get the candles out though or i’ll be eatin’ through a layer of wax! “
denki bought every stuffed shark at the toy store, so there is an array of them from great white to whale. there is a prominent air of pride at the way they are presented in the same bags in which they exited the store. twenty bags laid out in front of him, probably the most gifts he’s ever received at one single time, from one single person. that alone makes his heart grow in size, makes his lips itch to break into the biggest smile he’s ever plastered on his face. but then there’s that — one for ever year he’s been alive, and then some. it makes his heart grow a little more, and makes his cheeks tint the slightest shade of pink. if you didn’t know it was there, you wouldn’t even notice it.
carefully kirishima begins to open each and every bag, shocked at the array of stuffed sharks denki had managed to procure, and all for him. when he returns to his room, all twenty of them will be displayed some how, even if he needs to buy a place to put them. all of them make their way to three lines of shark stuffed animals all looking right at denki.
it’s a rare thing for kirishima to not have anything to say, but somehow denki always finds a way to render him speechless.
kirishima gets up from his place on the floor and moves over to where denki is on their bed, both hands cup the others face as he pressed a gentle kiss to the center of their forehead. then pushes him backwards onto the mattress. each of the twenty sharks find a way onto the bed, before kirishima slides in next to denki.
“i’m pretty sure this is the coolest gift that anyone has ever gotten me. but ya’know i would have been perfectly happy just to spend my birthday with you, kami.”
