"When green leaves meet red ones": kidge fall event.
Day Seven; Falling for you!
characters: Keith, Pidge and Shiro.
Pairings: Keith and Pidge/ Kidge
Pre Kerberos
He’d had another rough day at the Garrison. Between his classmates laughing behind his back and the long hours spent sitting in that stiff chair, the young boy was exhausted—and a bit on edge. All he wanted at that moment was to go on one of those rides where the wind whipped through his hair, making him feel like it was blowing all his problems away. But he couldn’t. He had to wait for Shiro, like every Monday, and wait in a place he hated: the town.
Fidgeting with his fingers, he sat on a bench, staring at the bare-branched trees. Time had stripped them of their leaves, leaving only a few red ones still fluttering to the ground. As he raised his eyes, something caught his attention. At first, it seemed to blend with the autumn scenery, but not quite.
A young girl. She looked familiar. She had a soft face dusted with freckles, and her hair was the same color as the fallen leaves. Her eyes, a warm amber, gleamed with life. She seemed to fit perfectly into the autumn picture, yet stood out simply by the sound of her laughter. She was walking a small, white puppy, her pink lips curved into a wide smile. In the middle of the monotony of the season, you couldn’t miss her.
Commander Holt’s daughter! That’s why she seemed familiar. He’d heard a lot about her—either from her brother Matt talking to Shiro, or through rumors. They said she was smart, a nerd. Some said she was cold. But from where Keith sat, she didn’t seem cold at all. She looked... normal, kind even. And Keith knew better than to believe rumors. He was no stranger to being their victim himself.
He found himself watching her, imagining what she was really like. For some reason, he felt drawn to her, his heart beating faster as she laughed, completely unaware of his gaze.
“Looking at Matt’s sister, huh?” Shiro’s voice startled Keith, making him jump.
“What are you talking about?!” Keith quickly tried to brush it off, but his cheeks betrayed him, flushing red.
Shiro wasn’t one to tease, so even though he could tell something was up, he respected Keith’s wish not to talk about it yet. “If you say so. Anyway, my car’s in the parking lot. Also, I got a call—your bike’s ready. You won’t have to wait around here anymore.”
“Sure,” Keith muttered.
But even after getting his bike back, Keith found himself returning to that same spot every day—just to catch a glimpse of her, even if only for a few seconds.
(I FORGOT I WROTE THIS FOR THE EVEN SO HERE YOU GO!!! I'LL POST DAY 6 AND THE OTHERS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE!)
