Finally after all these years I finished watching the Voltrone series

and yes, now Slav is my fave character

Obsessed with the fact that Voltron actually did use alternate realities really well 1 time and then they just. Fuckin. Dropped the ball every time afterwards.

Like, when we first meet Slav in Escape From Beta Traz, he is literally paralyzed by a puddle of water because in some realities he never learned how to swim, and he can’t remember if he did in this reality. Like, that’s a really well done, existentially terrifying interpretation of infinite realities that would’ve worked really well with the whole terrifying monstrous creatures beyond understanding from within the rift concept, but instead they just go with the boring-ass cliche ‘alternate realities are just our world but slightly different’ approach.

Never gonna stop being disappointed by this show.

Slav, another character from Voltron: Legendary Defender

He’s a paranoid genius scientist. Why so? He can create super machines - that’s one thing. But he is also obssesed with calculating ALL the possible risks for his dear life. One step to the right - 7 possibilities to die! One step to the left - 5 possibilities! And don’t forget about the chance to drown in a tiny pool of water on the floor! That’s serious!

Life is so, SO dangerous for Slav :)
