👻 GHOST - do they believe in ghosts? what are their "ghostly experiences", if any?

Most Pendrins are fairly superstitious, but not in a "ghost" sort of way, more of a household-spirit sort of way. Vonni absolutely believes he's met some of the spirits around his childhood home.

👪 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?

Vonni has two brothers, both older than him, who he's never met. He looks up to them anyway for their worldly ways and their seemingly endless supply of adventures. He's very, very close to his parents, who dote on him perhaps too much, as it's rare for families here to have more than one child survive to his age.

🎂 BIRTHDAY CAKE - when is their birthday? do they like celebrating it?

His birthday on our calendar is October 13th, which is early summer in his own homeland. He likes celebrating it mostly for the food.

🍓 STRAWBERRY - do they eat their fruit & veg? what is their favourite fruit or vegetable?

Vonni loves fruit. He's ambivalent on veggies, but he likes juicy fruits like peaches and plums a great deal. They remind him of the warmest parts of the year.

🍃 FALLING LEAF - do they enjoy being in nature? what is their favourite outdoor activity?

He loves being outdoors when the weather is nice, especially just wandering around in the forest collecting mushrooms and early-summer forage.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

I knew I wanted Ferre to have a little sibling born right after he left home for good. I also knew I wanted this kid to be cooler than him in many ways (Vonni's a budding engineer with a great mind for math and logic).

🎭 MASKS - do they act differently around certain people? what's different between the way they act around friends, family, strangers, etc.?

Vonni treats everyone like they're his best friend.

🎵 MUSIC NOTE - what is their playlist like? their favourite artists? do you associate a particular song with them?

I don't have a playlist for Vonni yet, but I associate him a lot with Fleet Foxes and Sleeping at Last.

🚆 TRAIN - what is their answer to the trolley problem?

In theory? He'd decline to answer it. In practice, he'd find a way to free the single person before rerouting the train, or barring that, leave the lever in the half-state, attempting to derail the train.

🔥 FIRE - do they have any self destructive tendencies? what habits do they have that hinder them from becoming their best self?

Vonni does not have an off switch. He'll work himself half to death without even meaning to, simply because he got In The Zone. He finds it difficult to keep to a routine without some serious willpower.

☄️ COMET - what do people assume about them? are they right?

Most people assume he's just a silly kid with dreams bigger than himself. Mostly true - he is a bit of an airhead sometimes, but is actually about as smart as he makes himself out to be, and has every intention of taking his big ideas further in the world than the walls of his village.

mostly neutrality, his parents cared about him and his siblings but weren’t affectionate

19. What were your character’s deepest disillusions? In life? What are they now?

he wanted to make a difference until he understood that it’s not realistic for everyone to be a hero - sometimes your job is to live the best life you can for yourself and those you love, not to change the world

pride. he still likes to think he’s self sufficient and independent despite the fact that he’s getting older and has some health issues. doesn’t like to admit when he’s hurting or needs help

she tends to make friends with other quiet, serious individuals, especially those whose lives also focus on engineering or science since she’s a botanist. as for lovers, she’s never had one, and her type is anyone who is nice to her tbh

she’s very logical about failure but it still stings

48. How are your character’s gestures? Vigorous? Weak? Controlled? Compulsive? Energetic? Sluggish?

very controlled, contained, she doesn’t really do anything that would make her stand out more

very neutral, he believes in some higher power/powers but also in the deep-rooted reality of physics and logical observations of the physical world

well-mannered but it’s clear if he doesn’t like you. he still idolizes those folk heroes that make their way into children’s books. he rarely if ever hates

44. How badly do they want to obtain their life objectives? How do they pursue them?

he’s very set on modernizing his home country so that education is better and the people he loves can live in healthier, safer conditions, and he pursues this through his apprenticeship as a carpenter, with the goal of creating proper houses with heating and greenhouses for growing plants
