déjà vu ;; nozomi + soma

{♪} ❝…Not that one... No... not that one either.❞

The occultist craned her neck around, getting up on her tip-toes to see around the influx of students that poured out of Harpwood Academy. Partically hidden by a pillar, she reached around it, still looking. Nozomi was looking for a man, one with snowy white hair. Her cousin, to be exact. It wouldn't be hard to find him in a crowd like this, but Nozomi didn't really have an advantage in height.

She had heard of Soma's residing here in Brieve recently, manly through whispers, and immediately, she asked the first person where he was living. Apparently, he attended the university she was currently waiting outside. And there were other things she heard, all involving his father. A hand went to her face, fixing her purple hair. It had been a while since she had seen him... 

Suddenly, her eyes caught something far away, a tall figure, white hair peeking out of their hood. Their back was to Nozomi, but it was Soma, there was no doubt. Nozomi ran forward, legs pumping. She leaped at him, arms swiftly folding around his waist, squeezing him against her.

Without realising it, she was burying her face into his back. ❝Soma-kun,❞ she muttered.

The Downfall of China's Cuisine [Soma]

The telltale crackle and sizzle of cooking food was prominant in the air, as were the delectable smells that would entice any passerby into sampling  the dishes being prepared which was how Kajika had ended up in the queue for Chinese take-away. Well... that and feeling the need to indulge in her childhood friend's cultural speciality as a way of alleviating the loneliness she felt at him being so far away across the ocean. Sure he was the Fang family's current head but with that amount of power he could easily run any operations he needed to from Brieve, it really wasn't necessary for him to live all the way in China.

As she inched closer to the front, she could feel her salivatory glands go into overdrive and wished the line would hurry up so that she could order her meal. To keep herself occupied, the young heiress decided to put her people watching skills into action and casually allowed her silver-eyed gaze to roam the interior of the restaurant. Some people did not hold her attention for long as they were simply staring off into space but the mother with the errant child and the group of friends fooling around at the spice and sauce counter managed to sufficiently keep her entertained until she finally reached the end of the queue.

"Gong bao chicken and a side order of wontons please~"

Her order made, it was merely a matter of minutes that she had to wait for it to be ready and then she was marching towards the exit, eager to get home. She imagined peeling off the container lid, dribbling some sweet and sour sauce over the chicken to soften the bite of the chili, snapping apart her chopsticks and then...

CRASH!

An unexpected nudge from behind caught her off guard but while she managed to escape tumbling to the floor in time, the same could not be said for her supper. Silver orbs widened in horror at the disaster that was once meant for her consumption now littering the floor. Perhaps she should be grateful that it had at least happened outside the restaurant but at that moment all she felt was severe disappointment at the waste of food. She couldn't take her frustration out on the guilty culprit as the individual in question hadn't bothered to stick around after nearly bowling her over. Casting a brief glance back at the extremely long queue trailing out of the ... entrance and then back at the mess, she wondered whether or not she should simply let her plan to eat Chinese fall by the wayside or whether she should queue all over again.
