"Gee, Rachel, why do you love the library so much?"
This. This is why.
Sunday Thoughts
I’ve read 35 books this year so far - 6890 pages and I’m at 28.87 hours of audiobooks. Heck yeah📚
Everyone needs to read “How Far The Light Reaches: A Life in Ten Sea Creatures” by Sabrina Imbler. Highly recommend the audiobook version as the author narrates. It’s about sea creatures but also a queer memoir and it’s fantastic.🪼
I think it’s so weird when people put in the effort to make you feel special and then just disappear. It’s reciprocated. But if they’re just going to leave, why do they even bother? If they know they’re going to dip, why not just ghost or use the person instead…👻
Do you ever wonder if one of your Tumblr mutuals is actually a co-worker? I think about this A LOT
I want to host a rewatch of Sofia Coppola and Wed Anderson’s catalogues. Who’s in? It’s been a while and I feel like a bad film student.🎞
Fun fact - I saw Sofia Coppola in NYC one time. She knew that I knew who she was but I didn’t say anything. She had her dog and was waiting outside a school, I imagine to pick up a child so I just kept walking. As someone who has been obsessed with The Virgin Suicides since I first saw it in film school - it was a moment.
I don’t know if I’m ever going to finish knitting this sock🧦
Happy Pride everyone 🌈🌈 It’s such a huge party here this weekend - I can hear it from my apartment (but it’s too hot out for me to adventure haha). Always ws so much fun working right in the middle of it all when I was a barista.
Presentation sheet
Name: IDNMT
Age: 30+ (this is very much an 18+ blog)
Policies: Just don't be an ass! I am trying my best to be as kind as possible and I'd rather not have someone come spout poison, if it's all the same to you. Thank you! Also, as far as I am concerned, you're responsible for your own reading/interacting habits. (This means, if you're a minor, please just take care of yourself and frequent other blogs that are appropriate and healthy for you. This is not one of them!)
Current passions: All things Tolkien, musicals, pets, and other people's needs and desires
Where to find me: AO3 and Discord (just shoot me a message)
Masterlist
Anything else: I do occasionally take requests, I am open to hearing about your blorbos and pairings, I am passionate about commissioning art from friends (for friends sometimes), and I am all around someone who is willing to listen to you if you need an open ear.
What you need to know before reading my stories: I write mainly fluff for Hobbit/Silm/LOTR characters. I am also known to write NSFW smut (M/F, M/M, F/F, cousin-incest, sibling-incest, monster-fucking, you name it) as well as potentially triggering angst (self-harm, suicide, etc). What can I say? I am prolific and I give everything a try!
Things I love writing: AUs (especially Modern!AU), cracky love stories, long-winded telenovela idiocies, and first times in bed :)
Things I don't do: Kids, pregnancy, childbirth in increasing order of unlikeliness. I am staunchly childfree and have a moderate phobia of all things to do with babies.
Happy New Year everyone!!!
Remember to be kind and generous (to yourself first and foremost) and that I love you deeply!

This wonderful fic 💫Superfic💫 has been written for me by @cilil, and I think it gives a good overview of who I am as a person. What I like, what I think about, what makes me tick...
Well if I can't read other people's works on AO3, I guess I'll go finish my WIP... *sigh* I kinda hate that this is the push I need to finish the last couple pages. It feels like I'm being tricked.
I loaned my personal copy of Tam Lin to a student.
I don’t think I’m getting it back.
And… I’m okay with that.
