J.P. Møller (Oct. 5, 1783 - 1854) was a Danish landscape painter who was a contemporary and life long friend of Eckersberg - they roomed together in Paris. Møller trained at the Academy under Abildgaard and C.A. Lorentzen and later became a professor there himself.
Although of an older generation, he was progressive and taught plein air techniques to his students and tried them out himself late in his career where he adopted a more contemporary style qualifying his work as part of the so-called Golden Age of Danish Art.
