2. What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?

I think Vorna's parents are probably dead by now. I know they raised her with a lot of expectations, especially her mother. She really wanted Vorna to move up in the world, become a great leader, and represent their family well. She taught Vorna everything she knew about taking care of herself and being independent. As a result, I think that Vorna loved her mother, but didn't actually know her that well.

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

Vorna travels very light, but she still carries a piece of the blade of her old greataxe. Other than that, probably a few pieces of gold, a whetstone, a heavily used handkerchief, and some berries. Berries are her favorite travel food, though she'll tell you it's dried meat.

6. Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?

In her dreams, she's being held--but sometimes she's doing the holding. She's in battle in some of them, raising her axe in victory, and she feels the pride and confidence and adrenaline in her bones that used to be old friends.

In her nightmares, the things she loves are being pulled from her arms. Her hair is being pulled, and she's falling. It's cold and ice water is filling her lungs and everything aches.

Ya boi is getting symbolic tonight, lads.

16. Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?

Oof... That's a hard one. I want to say happiness, but I don't think she's quite there. The only way she'll be happy is in she succeeds, so I think she idealizes success more.

21. If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?

Vorna takes responsibility for many things, including things that she really shouldn't be taking responsibility for. A lot of things have gone wrong on Vorna's watch, and since she usually views herself as being the most fit to handle most situations, she heavily internalizes any kind of failure.

22. What does your character like in other people?

Strength, honesty, and self-assuredness.

23. What does your character dislike in other people?

She hates liars and narcissists. She also hates it when people deflect blame or refuse to accept responsibility for their actions.

On a smaller scale? She hates it when people don't clean up after their meals.

27. How does your character normally deal with confrontation?

With a big sword.

(She does usually try to assert her command verbally first, but she's also not very patient. So... usually with a big sword. Not that it always works.)

44. How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?

Oh, y'all suck.

It's very hard for Vorna to say "I love you". She was raised to be someone very ruthless, and so there weren't many people outside of her parents that she felt appropriate in openly saying she loved--and I talked about how that relationship worked out.

That did change some, eventually. But the specific people that she came to love, she either hurt them or was hurt by them. Now, I think "love" is a word she uses very sparingly, and only when she means it. I don't think she even thinks she's looking for people to love right now. She's got one person she loves, and that's her main focus. If anyone else manages to weasel their way into her heart, it'll take her a while to notice that it's happening.

Pirkanmaan peijoonien neljäs ulostyöntö. No jaa. Kauas on tultu debyytin äkäisemmästä kamasta. Edelliseltä lätyltä tutut kevyemmät kuiskuttelut ja pimpin kostuttelut jatkuu. Tuntuu, että pääpaino on biisien sijaan tarinankerronnassa. Tärkeää sekin, mutta ei se yksin riitä (paitsi Anssi Kelalla). Melankoliaa löytyy kyllä, mutta munaa ei. Homma hukkuu liialliseen tunnelmointiin ja haaveiluun. Kiekolta ei pääse karsintakierrokselta jatkoon kuin yksi, Aika pakenee, ja sekin rimaa hipoen.
