Flynn O'Malley as an Uncle headcanons ♡

• Flynn O'Malley just can't keep the smile off his face as Kate's due date comes closer.

• He insists that he and Alice stay with Kate for the last couple weeks of her pregnancy. Kate need not do anything, they've got it all under control.

• Alice can vouch for the fact that she saw Flynn watching a video on 'How to make a Baby laugh' one night, but he claims it to be "just an advertisement" and why on Earth would he feel the need to watch such a video? His averted gaze and flushed cheeks surely say otherwise.

• One evening, Flynn gets a call from Alice that Kate's water had broken and they were heading to the hospital, and boy, did he literally drop everything and ran? Naomi stood confused for a minute at that sudden outburst.

• "Oh god, is the baby here?" Flynn pants, bending over a little to catch his breath. "No Flynn, it'll take a couple more hours" Alice smiled at him from where she sat beside Kate. "Thank god, didn't want Rachel to think that Uncle Flynn couldn't even make it to her birth" He wipes the sweat off his face.

• Later, he stood near Kate, a firm grip on her shoulder, blinking back tears as the baby cried her first cry.

• "Would you like to hold her, Flynn?" Kate asked, as she cradled Rachel in her arms. Flynn refuses hesitantly. He is scared to touch the fragile little soul, who is now peacefully asleep.

• He looks over Alice's shoulder as she takes the baby in her arms, and gently touches the baby's hand with his finger. "W..Wow, she's beautiful" he murmured.

• He gets comfortable around his little niece soon, he even ensures that Kate gets to sleep so he takes Rachel over to his and Alice's room and gently rocks her to sleep.

• "You're an amazing uncle, Flynn, and you're going to be an amazing father" Alice says softly, witnessing a whole new side of Flynn, who could just smile ear to ear at the thought.

• He plays his guitar to Rachel every weekend, and claims to know that she has a certain favourite song, and it's their secret.

• Flynn certainly can't wait for Rachel to grow up, so that babysitting her can be more fun, and she can finally acknowledge the funny twists he adds to the boring old bedtime stories.

• On Rachel's first birthday, Flynn gave her a little motorcycle ride, and the girl was in a fit of giggles. She would point at the motorcycle every time she saw Flynn arriving and would pull on his clothes until he gave her a ride.

• Rachel is fascinated by the tattoos on Flynn's arm, so when she is four years old, she is adamant on going to school with the black inked designs she drew on her arm the night before. Flynn is henceforth forbidden from wearing any kind of clothing that showed his tattoos around Rachel.

• Flynn loves his niece to pieces, and when the seven year old Rachel gives him a Best Uncle Ever Certificate on his birthday and smears the birthday cake on his face, he knows he has done his job as an uncle right.
