The Deadliest Game, Favorite Choices Book — 2024

Yes, I chose 2 books from 2024, but I figured it was fine since I have none from 2025 or 2026.

I LOVE The Deadliest Game. Initially, I was skeptical because of the "new" (ai) sprites. If you can get past the sprites, the book is a lot of fun. Murder mysteries that take place in isolated environments like this where the killer is one of the people invited are my absolute favorite. And Then There Were None is one of my all time favorite books (I remember reading it in middle school and was so captivated) and Clue is one of my favorite movies, so while TDG isn't as well written as either of those, it' was a lot of fun to have that style of story in the Choices world.

I wish more people were interested in the book.

I didn't put a pairing at the top because I have two pairings: canon—Jun x Emilia, AU— Nick x Emilia, but to me the book isn't about the pairing, it's about the mystery so I chose to focus on that.
