The drums pounded to a crescendo, reaching their peak with a loud crash. The flames shot higher, igniting the figures lining the back wall. Finally, the room fell silent.

“Voting time is now over. All votes will be counted as entered from here.”

“Hell yeah! That means it’s showtime, right?”

“No. We still need to tally the votes. Then we’ll see what the outcome of this trial truly is.”

“So what will it be? Will the blackened be found guilty? Or will they escape judgement today?”

“It’s time to find out. Let the fires of this temple reveal your fate.”
