To me, something about it doesn’t sit right. I just can’t quite pinpoint why I’m feeling this way.
I have always trusted your intuition on things, so I am asking honestly if you can help me figure this feeling out. I can usually trust my gut, but I’m not sure about this one.

While there are some things I agree with (Making no sense for RM to win against Jimin where Jimin had a bigger success than him in the US, that if he wins now it will feel like a pity award because clearly outside of that the fandom doesn't really support his music, and really, how is he gonna feel about that?)
The rest of the post really lacks nuance for me and that person is shading him..
Yes, Namjoon has been going through it. For quite some time. Yes, I believe he got burned out being the leader. But saying he doesn't want to return as a leader and that his album wasn't for BTS fans is clearly putting words in his mouth that he never said.
Namjoon has always been authentic and shared with us what is going through his mind at the moment. He's not distancing himself from BTS, he simply explored his other avenues of creativity as it came in the moment. He still released it under BTS right? So, saying he doesn't wanna be back is a big stretch. Calling him the leader isn't some kind of personal guilt-tripping to Namjoon like poor him he doesn't want it. What does this person know about that? Nobody knows. But he promised we would get a reunion and we will get it. So it means he's always intented to come back.
Saying treating Namjoon as the leader is obsessing about what they once were and that those days are over, it's just not true.
He is still the leader now and when they'll come back, yes they will have all changed, but his place in BTS won't change. Maybe the group will take a different form/turn or whatever but the days of BTS are far from done.
I absolutely don't believe the company is behind any of this, the company doesn't even market Namjoon properly on their own.
No, what doesn't sit well with me is that the fandom is using his leader title and suddenly waking up from slumber acting like Namjoon is really important were in fact they don't care about his music! He doesn't perform well. So saying suddenly "we must give it to our beloved leader" is plain hypocritical and a cover up for the truth: They simply don't want Jimin to win because they don't like him. That's the real issue. And it goes so deep they're ready to move mountains so he doesn't.
Look, I love Namjoon, I wish he wins all the awards, he's an amazing artist and he deserves it. But in this particular case, this particular award and against Jimin, it would make no sense. And yes, I'm not sure he would feel completely great about getting it. Of course he will feel good bcs winning an award is always awesome but there will not be the feeling of complete win which might leave a bitter aftertaste. Like "I won this big award in the US, that's great, but then why is the fandom not actually supporting my music?" You know what I mean?
Next time instead of using his leader role as a weapon to guilt-trip others, people need to look themselves in the mirror and ACTUALLY support him. Like all of this is just wind to achieve what they want: that Jimin doesn't win.
Also to redeem themselves because they didn't support Namjoon in the past so now suddenly they must to make up for their poor support. If they do, they will have cleared their conscience and it's a double win bcs Jimin won't.
It's so incredibly stupid. I can't take this fandom seriously.
So yeah, that's my point of view on all of this, and maybe some of you might not share it.
But the fandom is being so hypocritical at the moment this whole thing is absurd.
