          slender fingers flip through the pages of a journal(?) as the light from her candle flickers somewhat dimly. it’s mostly filled with random facts about the world. what foods taste like what, so on and so forth. it was more of a guide to getting by in the world rather than getting out of it. the moon shines in through the window and she sighs softly, turning her head to stare at the celestial orb. it feels so close.. getting back to aether feels so far, so hopeless. only this one book has been in a language she can read so far, and its usefulness is.. limited, to say the least. 

lumine thumbs through a few more pages, but there are no hints about a way to leave. she doesn’t really care about a home, per se. aether is home, so even if she could pull him here some way.. that would be good enough. she can’t leave without him nor he without her.. he’s stuck in that world without her. for the umpteenth time, she worries herself nearly sick. 

the opening of the door has her turning her head. she tucks her hair behind her ear and golden eyes lock on the figure entering the room.
