I really liked it, the season starts slow but mid season has a turning point and it rides it until the end. To be fair, i don’t think there is a season of avatar/lok that people didn’t hate.

the reviews of it aren't bad, but i don't usually trust those and rather go for people who just saw it as fans and explain why they didn't like it. but there's plenty of things out there that pretty much everyone hates but i like so... you know...

yes poupon, the season is slow to start but the second half has some of my favorite avatar moments in it completely. also im in love with bumi
Yeah, I heard that it got some real steam going the second half of it. I feel like such a heel for forgetting all about it!
see i find the show dopey but for some reason its never so enraging that i drop it. but ya the mulan thing is pretty obviously canon. and pan and hook are the most interesting characters. I also watch the wonderland spin off. the knave of hearts is pretty good times
tbh i can't really divorce myself from the fact that the show has a lot of elements that i normally really love, but the way they're written is so frustrating and nonsensical and the morality is often SO black & white when it doesn't have a place and i just. i cAN'T GET PAST IT AND IT MAKES ME MAD. YOU COULD BE SO GOOD, OUAT. YOU HAVE ALL THE RIGHT INGREDIENTS BUT YOU KEEP GOING ABOUT THE RECIPE ALL WRONG.
pan actually is the most interesting thing the show has done so far. that being said, the show is still exactly what it has been. Pan is really interesting though.
that’s really why i’m struggling so much over starting it up again! i was reeeeally unimpressed with everything else in the show but pan sounds like EVERYTHING I WANT IN RENDITIONS OF PETER PAN?? (also i was hearing mulan/aurora is an (unrequited??) thing in canon which is one of the things i wanted but wasn’t holding out hope for and i’m so ???)
it got to the point where i was only watching for mr. gold and the occasional scene with mulan, though;;; I COULDN’T STAND MOST EVERYONE ELSE WHERE I LEFT OFF IN SEASON TWO
