▬ Summoning a super religious servant initially throws him off. A man who had given up on hope and faith met with a servant who praised the Big Guy at every opportunity seemed like a big joke. Necromancy is not for the faithful, but faith is for men like them. Vlad scolds Kairi constantly for his self deprecating and its not till much later that he realizes he needed those reminders that it’s okay to believe in something again and have faith, not strictly to God but.. in himself and his servant– even if they devise how they’ll ride to hell along the way.
▬ Vlad is always interested in what Kairi has to know, and what he has learned, not in just magecraft but general knowledge of the world. Kairi doesn’t talk much and doesn’t normally let on what he knows. Not unlike someone else here. Vlad points out discrepancies and while Kairi’s choice of words can be poor, respects his observations and analysis to information, as well as willingness to learn. Kairi suggests teaching him Romanian so they can devise plans more secretively.
“Lancer, do I have something stuck in my teeth? I can feel it.”

@voyvodas continued from here - Consider this revenge!
In his time the young boy had become all too accustomed to sensation of the mood suddenly dropping in a room, and when such a feeling struck him like it did now, he found himself immediately ceasing in his insatiable curiosity, and instead took a step back to look up at his strange self with large and unblinking eyes.
He could tell that they were doing his best to ease the situation, perhaps this is why they had chosen to speak to him in such a soft tone? But still, like an elephant in a room that feeling was still there, making the young Vlad Dracula question the true feelings of his other in a situation like this.
Perhaps I shouldn’t have bothered him after all...
“Mhmm, oprește asta.”
The grumble of displeasure made it evident that the Lancer call servant was indeed correct in his suspicions, the boy really didn’t like his hair suddenly being ruffled like that.
“Eu nu sunt un copil.”
A tiny hand reached up to stop the other in their tracks, but he soon fell silent as those oh so familiar words reached his ears. How long had it been since he had last been called that? That... Was a was a painful memory, a reminder even, of the kind of simplicity in life he once had the luxury of owning. Young Vlad’s brow furrowed and before he knew it, he was puffing out his cheeks in discontent.
“Are you saying this was father’s doing?”
This was a surprise, even to himself. How could such a tragedy strike them when he knows in his hear that the plans his father put forwards were of good intentions.
Just how far did they take that plea to protect Wallachia from ruin?
“But father... He believed in this, didn’t he? What you were made to be, what I might be destined to become, it was all to save our great country from the clutches of those who seek to send it into damnation. If I had to do the worst to protect what I love, then so be it. I shall run that road and never look back on what it could have been... Though, by saying this I hope I have not offended you. I do not know the kind of life you lived and I will not presume to know it either... I’m... I’m sorry.”
“I am past scorching; not easily can’st thou scorch a scar.”

♛ Artoria turned her head to look at her fellow Lancer from within her draconic helmet, gilded eyes hidden away in the shadow of her helm, her appearance entirely concealed by her severe blackened armor. In this Singularity, they would face a great battle, and she expected the vicious and volatile Lancer to her side to be just as wild and efficient on the battlefield as she was calm and methodical. It should make for an exceptionally enjoyable little war.
“Good,” she finally answered, looking away from him to look forward again. His ability to take damage and continue fighting as though unharmed would be useful, of course. “Let’s ensure that no scars are placed upon your body by enemies, shall we?”
voyvodas replied to your post: ooc. happy valentines everyone~! ♥ I hope you...

✕ “There is NO greater hero than Vlad. How dare you,” she snapped with poison somehow seeping into her soft and otherwise gentle voice. “He is too good for you. The greatest and noblest hero is destined for the daughter of Odin — not you.”
✕ Do you people think this is a game?
