Wonderful description of the two roles
Welcome Bob Spina!
It seems like not long ago, Tristan and I were the only ones working on our music intelligence platform. Six years and over 5 billion data points on 30 million songs and 2 million artists; we confidently say that we know more about musical content and consumers online than anyone.
Today, our team has grown to 38 employees and a number of revolving interns; all of whom are working on something Tristan and I envisioned. With offices in Somerville, New York City, San Francisco and London; it was time to add to those faces someone who could help keep our platform on course.
I want to welcome Bob Spina to The Echo Nest as VP of Engineering. He comes to us with over 25 years of experience managing engineering teams and working on strategic planning for companies such as RAMP, 3Com, Raytheon etc... Bob's got a ton of experience with data, information retrieval, search and services, and he'll be overseeing our engineering and operations team as we continue to grow.
Welcome to The Nest Bob!
