New drivers license laws for seniors now in effect

New drivers license laws affecting older adults took effect on January 1, 2015.  After an individual reaches 75 years of age, all driver’s license renewals must be made in person at dmv. The age was previously 80.

Vision screening will be done at renewal unless the individual submits a letter from a recent eye exam.  Renewals will be valid for five years, instead of eight.  Individuals do not…

Waynesboro Senior Center Bingo comes to an end

Waynesboro Senior Center Bingo comes to an end

VPAS’s weekly Bingo operation that started on Oct. 3, 2013 at Waynesboro Senior Center has been discontinued.

The last night of Bingo was Dec. 4, 2014 and featured the largest crowd and the largest progressive jackpot since inception.  The Lucky 7 Jackpot of $2,100 was won by a player who has been playing week after week at Waynesboro Senior Center.   She was one of 96 players for the evening.
