My Aoi Zaizen VR version concept. As “Blue Angel”, I thought her look should be mainly composed by blue colors. I was highly inspired by her monsters outfits (hearts, skirts, wings, etc...) because I imagined she can be really similar to them! Well...that’s just my own idea, I hope her original design will be more cool than mine :3 I made two versions, just because I had fun with it and wanted to add a nice bg <3

And here’s it in action. There’s a bunch of stuff I should’ve done but really couldn’t be asked cos there’s not much time left and this has seriously drained me. Stuff like having the debris timeout after a while would’ve stopped the god damn lag but oh well.
Aim of the game is to break your way down and whoever’s the fastest wins.
Would’ve liked to add a stopwatch to time it at the top.
We planned on going with hand painted style buuuut there’s really not enough time for that, so we went with flat colours.
Whoosh
Final Live Game screenshots. A lot of stuff from the other members of my group couldn’t be included in the final version because we’ve reduced the concept so much.
Here’s our VR Concept Live Game. Went through a lot of feedback and got to this stage, it’s still pretty buggy but the game is simple enough. All of this is what I contributed to the project, learned a whole bunch of stuff in a couple of weeks so I guess I’m happy with it but already sick of the game :S
For our Live Brief VR Concept, our first initial idea was scrapped cos it was bad so I came up with another idea from a Japanese gameshow where the ledge you’re standing on is slowly getting closer to you and by the end you’ll fall, so to adapt on that for VR, I decided there should be not only questions thrown at you but also a mini game aspect of it too, so in between the questions you’ll have a mix of shoot the monsters, cut out this shape in time etc. The style we were going for is this semi-real but very cartoony, bright and colourful. While we were told that photo-realism catches the audience, it wouldn’t really fit our game style.
