Learning to work with unity and blender specifically in regards to vrchat avatars and optimizing them.
So I bought a vrchat avatar from booth (Kanae by Cherry Neru google if curious no link bc tumblr dumb). This is her:
I should be able to use her as a 3d vtuber if I ever get into that.
But right now I'm figuring out how to do things like change her clothes and optimize her so quest users can see her.
There's sooo many resources out there to help you optimize your avatar. For example the cats blender plugin. Also lots of videos showing how to do everything. If I optimize her too much she looks really bad though so I have her optimized to a medium on quest. I also made a custom fallback using a different more simple model.
I'm so happy to have things set up now where people can see my new fancy avatar regardless of pc or quest, and even if they can't 'see' it they'll still be able to see a decent representation via imposters and my custom fall back.

Right now I have a different avatar for each outfit. Need to learn toggles so I can throw them all on one avatar. Also probably figure out different shoes and stuff but whatever.

- it is literally a shrimp
- mainly eats random bits of debris that it finds on the ground
- will be a friend for life if you feed it curry
- slick oily carapace that prevents predation by eagles and hawks
- listens to EDM and trance music
