We missed a turn and ended up following a goat path for half an hour along the side of the ridge, but I did get some good photos so it’s impossible to say if we did anything wrong. Would you believe this is the third time something like that has happened to us while hiking? The other two times it was baboon trails in the Drakensberg.
My brother lent me his 10-20mm wide angle lens for this hike and it works really well, although I have very little experience with landscape stuff so I just let the automatic landscape mode handle most of the settings.
