ASHE’68 will be honored at Jazz in New York City on 20th May.
ASHE ’68, about Arthur Ashe’s triumphant win at the 1968 U.S. Open, the eight-minute documentary pondering VR film has been nominated for an Emmy by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) 40thAnnual Sports Emmy® Awards.
The documentary had featured in the Outstanding Digital Innovation category.
Arthur Ashe registered history in his name by becoming the first African-American to win the U.S. Open Tennis Championship in 1968. The remainder of his life, he devoted himself in fighting injustice and raising awareness about his black experience in America.
