Vroengard was an island located off the coast of northern Alagaësia. It was home to Doru Araeba, the city of the Dragon Riders. Among the ruins of Doru Araeba the Rock of Kuthian, the magically sealed entrance to the Vault of Souls, was located.
Inktober 13: Ash --- Whump: Adrenaline
Inktober 14: Overgrown
Combination of two days since I fell behind a little. Inspired somewhat by Vroengard, and island in the Inheritance Cycle. Ancient, overgrown ruins of a once-giant and amazing city. Now strange creatures lurk there...
Philipp’s Story
“Hey there, i am curently in a kind of strange situation... what brougth me there? you guessed it: the inheritance cycle. How? It was in the end of 2018, 28 of dezember to be specific, i was looking for a movie to watch while having dinner, when i stumbled over the eragon movie. i watched it to the point saphira grows up, and then decided to stop watching and look for a book, because books are better than movies (normaly). i asked my mum this evening for a book called "eragon" and she said i should ask my uncle to lend it. The next day i drove over to get the book, (still thinking it was only one), and returning with four 600+ page books, i tossed them into an empty shelfspace, with the intend to read them whenever i got time. That idea failed as i read the first 4 chapters in 20 minutes... the whole cycle was read in just two weeks full time. in this time i went on a journey with eragon and saphira, it was absolutely fantastic. it was so sad when garrow died, i was crying tears of happiness when eragon found the eldunari and the dragon eggs on vroengard, and lost all hope as galbatorix "muted" elva and murtargh stabbed zar'roc trough eragon. and then there were the last words... i was crying... seeing eragon leave everybody he knows, loves and possibly never meeting arya again, broke my heart. half an hour later i was still crying. it took me over a week to think kind'a normal again. and then, i found out that "the fork the witch and the worm" would be released in a week. i Was so happy. i instantly pre-ordered it via amazon, and then the torture of waiting began. on work i didn't get anything done that week, always thinking about how the story could go on. then it turned up on friday evening. on saturday morning i was done reading. no spoilers here... these books changed my life. since i read them i'm thinking differently. seriously, whenever i need to solve a problem i think about what would eragon do, what would angela, arya or roran say? this has helped me in many instances. Now something for the Fans: technology is advancing fast. maybe you see saphira flying over your city in 20 years... just a hint to the strange situation :-) christopher paolini-elda, Thanks so much for writing the inheritance cycle, with those books you had a huge impact on my life, A good one. THANKS! i hope book five comes out soon. sorry for the bad english... Atra esterní ono thelduin, Mor'ranr lífa unin hjarta onr, Un du evarínya ono varda.”
