O'Neill cylinders as a concept have really grown since their inception especially in science fiction, some of the issues that werent outlined by Gerard K O'Neill have been covered such is in Elite Dangerous a superb space RPG game and definitely recommended. The game features many different uses of #oniellcylinder from recreational and tourism through trade and tourism and are brilliant to explore through VR. All large space stations have an OC element that's also range in style depending on which factions space you are in.
