Raph glanced at the person beside him after a solid ten minutes of staring at the ground, and then drifted his eyes upwards to the illuminated sign. What they had in common was that they were waiting for the bus, both somewhat wet from the sudden thunderstorm, and both probably wishing they were somewhere else. In happy yellow writing, the sign announced that the bus would be another half an hour later than it already was. The teenager thumped his palm on a metal pillar, dislodging a screen of raindrops on every side of the shelter. With a grunt, he took a seat beside the person (which he hadn’t yet done through sheer awkwardness). “Good thing I wasn’ in a rush. Are busses always this crappy?”
