i think the thing with v!scott’s ending is that like. yeah, people can change and people can be redeemed and stuff. but scott is not just a Person he is a character. and it would be extremely satisfying for apo or pyro to have killed him.
(havent watched apo’s pov; im satisfied with pyro’s but like if shelby’s gonna kill him for revenge why not add scott to the mix? shelby being the last of her “found family” would be… very interesting but thats a whole other thing)
but also like. even if we look at scott As A Person, it feels uncomfortable for his ending to include Shubble and Drift as the people that have to Keep an Eye on him. especially WITH the found family filter. “oh yeah we just have to make sure this guy stays happy and doesnt hurt or manipulate anyone :)” is that not. terrifying? to anyone else??? and if the ending was told thru this lens id probably REALLY enjoy scott being alive, but as far as im aware this is being told thru Shelby, who is living her Idealized Fanfic Life and trying to cope with the Horrors, and Abolish, who is the kindest ever and also doesnt want to do more work than he needs to (believes in second chances)!
also: to note i havent seen any of new york 2006’s perspective other than Abolish’s and my main pov besides him was Owen, and the other full povs ive seen were Martyn + Pyro so it could be said there is bias here idk
