One day, Tarasov stood in the middle of the dressing-room, moving his hands and legs all over and called out to Tretiak. "Vladik, have you ever thought of yourself as a crab?" Tretiak demurred. "Think about it," Tarasov shouted. "One hundred legs and one hundred arms." The goalie began dutifully to think of himself as a crab.
