I wrote a poem about Jasper and thought I should share it with the vamily!

Text version follows:

poem for a nosferatu (jasper heartwood)

born of vengeance, come to call

in bitter shadow, icy cold

he stares above the buildings tall

when evening’s stripped of sunset gold,

cloaked he in starlight, knife bright, trawls

through tunnels damp with moss and mold.

he wakes, he sleeps, does both in dark

while loathing hidden appetites,

before and after’s boundaries starkly

wind his stagnant stomach tight.

go, revenant, stand and sight your mark:

those only armed with fangs that bite.

though flush with veins that move no blood—

like marble shot with glassy black—

though pale and thin under the hood

one sees the life come through the cracks,

self sacrifice, a call toward good,

while those obsessed with what he lacks

fall prey to hungers he’s withstood.

mystery seeker, secret keeper,

sword and shield, awakened sleeper,

follows tunnels ever deeper,

keeps his family close in mind,

more kin than kine, more kind than king,

topples towers with one swing,

fate-denier, cuts the string,

leaves Ariadne’s one behind.

Join my chronicle, Bloodlines: Malibu !!!

Based in LA post the events of Bloodlines, this V5 chronicle will be played completely by newbies familiar with the video game and LA by Night, and will include some homebrew to make playing the game more accessible and fun!
