[So S’uvok and I have been playing these characters forever so it can be hard to find something fresh to RP. We’ve started a 30 day OTP challenge and are turning them into RP prompts. Some of them will be dedicated and some of them will be little sly inserts. Some may need to be changed.]
[Day Three - Sleepy Morning Heads]
T'Sala most often slept curled around the Captain. Their bond and touch telepathy helping her sleep even though the days of fitful nightmares were mostly past. She sleeps with her ear or hand over his side, feeling his heart press against it with each strong beat as though reassuring herself it was still there. Their alarm chimed like temple gongs as the morning came, T'Sala only curling more tightly around him, willing the gongs to be a dream. Perhaps a lawn gong for a home years away.
S'uvok was resistant to wake up, as the sound of the alarm chimed. Unexpected matters with Lt. Commander Sakix had forced a review of a great deal of classified materials, which cut into usual sleeping hours. With the presence of a Romulan Senator, precision in the matter was called for, and S'uvok wasn't of a mind to make unnecessary mistakes. Four hours later, he finds his instincts simply calling for additional rest(edited)
"Computer. Snooze." T'Sala mutters to it and drifts back off along with the Captain. Over the night she had set their clothes out. They had time.
S'uvok's eyes remained awake, now that the seed of consciousness took hold. After a few minutes he sat up, running a hand through unkempt hair, a slight frown to his otherwise expressionless features. Quietly, he slid from the bed and had begun his morning preparation ritual
There is a grunt from this mate at the Captain eases his way out from her grip and deposits her into the pillow proper. "Computer.... engage gradual light sequence." She states to it quietly. Their lights would slowly brighten over the next hour as they got ready. T'Sala sliding out of the bed.
S'uvok stands before the mirror, toothbrush creating a lather, his gaze intently focused on the reflection, hair astray
T'Sala lets out a little yawn and opens their pip boxes and starts setting out the pips and the combadges, checking them over for bugs and making certain they are shining and functional. She runs a brush through her hair, fluffing it with a touch of moose and steps back, watching the Captain as he brushes his teeth.
After brushing his teeth, he runs the cold water and splashes it onto his face, before taking an electron razor to neaten up his beard. He splashes his face with the cold water before bringing the towel to his face
T'Sala steps up beside him and quickly brushes her own teeth. "Tea?" she inquires. "And any edits to the schedule I need to make? There's something else you should be aware of once you are more awake."
"I will take teak when I adjourn to the ready room. Early start today." He comments as she takes a space next to him "You can tell me now if you prefer, or if it's urgent, otherwise, we can wait." He comments as he moves back to the bedroom to begin putting on his uniform
"Hmm." she nods and moves back in with him handing him his undershirt and she picks up hers as well. "No reason it can not wait another moment." Once he is ready for his jacket, she stands there holding it out for his arms, her mind deep in thought and already whirling. Brow knit and a distant look in her eyes.
S'uvok's movements are efficient, practiced. It seems to take no time at all to slip on the undershirt and place his arms through the jacket. Leaving it unzipped he returns to the restroom to put a brush through his hair
T'Sala's own jakcet remains on the chair by the door for the moment as she follow him into the room, eyes lingering on it a moment. Carefully setting his pips and combadge as he brushes his hair, she speaks again. "How did you sleep?"
"Briefly." S'uvok commented, not answering, and yet answering quite clearly, all at once."And yourself?"
"Briefly. There is much on my mind as well." she agrees. "There, you are all set. We just have my jacket and pips left."
S'uvok moved into the bedroom once again and took her jacket from the back of her chair, and held it open so T'Sala could slip into it "Here you are."April 4, 2018
"Thank you, Adun." T'Sala slips into it and hands him her pips, baring her neck for him. She starts fastening her combage. Eyeing the kittens as they stir but do not wake.
With practiced fingers, S'uvok affixes her pips onto the jacket collar. He takes a step back, nodding once satisfied they were properly in place, and zipped his jacket back up and tugged it crisply at the hemline "Shall we, Commander?"
Upon zipping up herself and nodding at their reflection in the mirror she nods. "Yes, Captain." she notes and strides out of the bedroom and into the living area. She punches thier tea order in. "I do not seek any change of the situation, however you need to know; The Senator is speaking to me as though I am abreast of the information which, I assume Starfleet has classified. Therefore if I come into knowledge of something you believe I should not, that is where it is coming from. Needless to say, as liaison between Starfleet and Romulan operatives, I will of course pass everything through you. It is safe to tell him we are working on things and that he can expect updates through me between the meetings you have with him?"
"I will clear you for the access to Lt. Commander Sakix's files." S'uvok affirms "It is the logical solution at this juncture."
"I will attempt to gather everything we are able to find. It will all come through you before the Senator." she nods, handing him their tea, her brow knitting. "He is up to something. He was baiting me to ask things I should not. I have a small repore with the man back from when he was a Commander at ZEF. If there is anything else I can do, Captain. I am ready."
"Ensure Dr. Tien has what she needs for Lt. Commander Sakix's care. As does Lt. Golan for her containment." S'uvok arches an eyebrow
"Yes Captain." she nods and takes a sip. "We have five more minutes before we are required on the bridge. Is there anything else, Sir?" T'Sala looks up to his features.
"One last item." He relies, taking a small lean in, and places a momentary kiss at the corner of her mouth before righting his posture
Jade kisses T'Sala's cheeks and she purses her lips to contain the smile that almost nearly crept onto her lips. "Ah, indeed." she nods firmly, returning to utter professionalism. "And I you."
He inclines his head in acknowledgment, before facing forward, standing upright in his posture
Then together, after a moment of tea and silence they stride out of the bedroom with purpose.
