//disappeared// The knock on Spock's door was unexpected, to say the least. No one outside of the crew knew he was on shore leave, and he wasn't expecting any of them to come to him. He sighed heavily, closing his book and making his way to the door and pulling it open. He was thoroughly surprised by who he saw. "This... This is not possible..."
Leonard looked a little tougher and leaner than Spock probably remembered him being. He was back to his pre-Academy look. All dark and scruffy. But hey, when you've been doing some serious soul-searching throughout the world (okay, really just Earth and a few other Federation planets when he had enough credits to hitch a ride), you don't really give a shit what you look like.
Surprisingly, Bones didn't want Jim to know he was alive yet. Somehow, Leonard figured the little shit probably knew anyway. But, Spock had always been a good friend. Hell, Leonard might say that the Vulcan was his other best friend. Anyway, he decided to make his...triumphant, for a lack of a better word, return known to the one person who wouldn't believe it unless he saw it.
Bones cracked a wry smirk. "Long time, hobgoblin."
