This year, I’m part of VU’s reviewing team for the Melbourne Writers Festival. Over the weekend I was sent off to attend an event called ‘Writing For a Cause’ which discussed the intersectionality of disability, feminism and queer issues, and what it means to write about those particular issues.
Here’s the review I wrote. It’d be great if you could have a read, or whatever. It was a great event, but one that I was quite nervous to write about, considering the subject matter. But I think I did a good job. Clementine Ford (who was part of the event) messaged me on Twitter after reading the article and said I’m—and I quote—‘a good writer’, which was nice and encouraging.
