A dim moon casting heavy shadows, A dimly lit room, A wooden chair that creaks, A silence that hung like dense mist.

He had been sitting for some time now, Tapping a cigarette on the table, Staring into darkness.

A heavy heart, A guilt that hangs from the roof, A noose at one end.

He stopped tapping the cigarette, Leaned it against his lower lip. He struck a match, It lit up the room. There they were, His demons, Sitting all around him, Waiting.

A past that won't forgive, A past that won't forget, A past that knows everything.

He lit the cigarette, Took a long pull. He shook the match, The light went out, The darkness in the eyes of his demons returned. He leaned back, The chair creaked, He blew out the smoke.

He picked the feather and showed his mother,

'An angel must have fallen here, long ago', she said.

'Why do angels fall, mama?'

'Because no one needs them'

'What happens to fallen angels?'

'They forget who they are, what they are'

'Will they ever fly again? '

'Maybe...if they remember. If someone needs them to remember.'

He stopped walking. He took off his backpack and unzipped it. He opened it and showed her inside. It was a lifetime of feathers, he's been collecting. He looked up to her and asked,

'Please remember, mama.'

Let me start by saying that I have had to part with my love for horror movies, simply because they've stopped making decent flicks that aren't about just blood and gore.

What breaks my heart about the Rigor Mortis trailer is that it's very unlikely that we'll ever see the movie.

The Leaves Are Falling (Untitled 1)

The sign at rusty old creaking gate read, 'Dreams Are Buried Here'.

He pushed it open, dragging his big suitcase behind him. His dreams had always been too heavy, he thought to himself - it's best this way.

He walked in, onto a narrow path that went up a small hill.

At the top, he saw a vast forest below. A majestic field filled with magnificent trees, leaves of every colour imaginable, a beauty he had never seen.

He trailed the path into the forest. A fruit from one of the trees fell. It landed on the soft grass and cracked open like an egg. The sun rose from it. A blindingly bright light, a beautiful tomorrow.

'Put the suitcase down and you can leave', said an old man. He was kneeling down making holes in the ground.

'Where should I put it?' 'Anywhere where you feel you can't carry it anymore!'

He let go of the suitcase and it made thud on the ground.

The old man got up, took the suitcase, heaved it onto an old wooden kart filled with a multitude of suitcases, he started pushing the kart deeper into the forest. 'Where do all these strange trees come from?', he asked the old man.

The old man gestured to a small fledgling tree. Next to the tree was a suitcase, just like his, it was open, empty. He looked around and realised that every tree had, next to it, an empty suitcase.

'It's usually the heavy suitcases the birth the biggest fruit', said the old man.

'Please close the gate when you leave, I have much to do for the hole that yours is going to go into.'
