About the game ask, can you do 17,22,27,29?

i'm doing great! making enchiladas for supper.

17. what game do you never tell people you play?

mass effect. i love mass effect but i also hate mass effect. there's something so sterile and shallow about the series, but i keep trying it for the characters. i don't want to have to defend it but i also don't want to trash a game that was definitely trying something for the time it came out.

22. if you could immerse yourself in any game for one day, which game would it be? what would you do?

ooooh this is a good one. honestly animal crossing has such a soothing energy. i could make jokes about the affordable mortgages and stuff, but honestly i'd love to just live in a little village and make friends with cool people, no worries, even if it is just for a day ☺️

27. answered, but another moment that made me cry was the master's dying monologue in fallout. you can argue that there wasn't a whole lot to explore in the first fallout but it sure got deep at times.

29. which is more important, gameplay or story?

i'm going to have to go with a cop-out and say neither. but! i will say that games can have value with only one; i don't super care for the story in F.E.A.R but the gameplay is good, and i'm not exactly playing Baldur's Gate for the riveting graphics and nail-biting combat lmao. the only real sin a game can commit to me, aside from being needlessly offensive, is pretending it had good gameplay when it doesn't, or pretending it had a decent story when it doesn't. a military shooter that acts like it has a compelling story is pretty damn insulting, and fallout 4 pretending it's fun gameplay to hoard adhesive and grind levels just to get to the fun mods/keep up with enemy scaling, is a pretty unkept promise, if that makes sense.
