they start that bet the first time they see them together; Nico's parents know their princess! And I think they genuinely like Lewis.
I think since Nico is so close with his parents and lives with them, he tells them about most things in his life, and so they have been hearing about Lewis for MONTHS... until one night, Nico goes out (keeping his parents up with worry, of course!), and the next morning, Lewis drives him home. And instead of just staying in his car or slinking away, he actually walks Nico to the house, introduces himself, makes VERY sure Nico's parents know that he has no bad intentions and that he just wanted to make sure Nico got home safely. And Nico's parents immedialtely loooove the soft-spoken, polite vibe as well as the way he treats Nico with respect. <3

„This doesn’t mean anything,“ Nico says in between kisses, his voice breathless. „Nothing.“ Hands pushing against Lewis’ shoulders.
„Hmm,“ Lewis replies and pulls Nico down on top of him. He can still feel the beat of the music and the sweat from dancing on his skin.
Nico pulls off his own top, rhinestones clinking against Lewis’ floor when it lands there like an afterthought. Lewis takes a second to take in the sight: Nico’s soft, creamy skin, the pebbled rosy nipples, the dip of his breastbone, the curve of his waist. He fits his hands against it from either side, running them up and down, thumbs pushing into the soft flesh there.
„Stop staring.“ Nico bats away his hand. „Fuck me instead.“
The tops of his cheekbones are red, so red that Lewis can see it in the dim light.
He sits up, almost toppling Nico over, and pulls off his own t-shirt, carelessly discarding it next to Nico’s. Nico sits back in the meantime, watching him with lidded eyes. His shorts leave little to the imagination, but Lewis can’t wait to see what lies beneath.
Their combined scents fill the air, tangling and mixing. He can tell Nico is on suppressants, and it makes Lewis run half-wild, not knowing what he really smells like.
Just for the effect, he stands up from the bed, stretching languidly, before he unbuckles his belt and undoes the button of his pants.
Nico’s eyes are glued to Lewis’ crotch, and seeing his eyes widen is pure satisfaction.
„What did you say? Six figures, sixpack, six inches?“ Lewis smirks, stepping out of his trousers.

„Stop,“ Nico whispers, but there is a waver in his voice, akin to the one in his eyes earlier.
„Do you want this?“ Lewis asks, his voice a whisper.
„Of course,“ Nico says way too fast, grabbing Lewis’ wrist, „What makes you think I don’t? Besides, you’re already…“ He gestures between them at Lewis’ dick, „Would be cruel to just… leave you hanging now.“
„No,“ Lewis simply says, „I’ll be fine.“
Nico says nothing for a long moment. He’s not looking at Lewis. His hand is still wrapped around Lewis’ wrist.
„But not enough?“ Nico cuts him off with an acidic note in his voice, ready to squirm out of his arms.
„…not like this,“ Lewis calmly finishes his sentence, „Not… half-drunk, two days after you and Jenson broke up. Not when you think you have something to prove… and not when you want this to mean nothing. Because it does mean something to me, I think.“
Nico barely disguises the wobble of his bottom lip.
Lewis brings their joined hands to his mouth and kisses the back of Nico’s hand.

Nico holds his breath for a second, and Lewis just looks at him, takes in the glow of his blue eyes in the dark, those eyes that have haunted him in his dreams before.

„Of course,“ Lewis says, closing his eyes for a second as his heart somersaults in his chest.
I wanna talk about Lewis, Nico and the dogs in VV.

Coco and Roscoe exist in the VV as well.
They were Lewis’ dogs first, he brought them into the relationship, and naturally he loves them very much. Nico was never an animal person; he isn’t scared or disgusted by them, but he just doesn’t really know what to do with them. He isn’t too keen on all the slobber and the hair, but he does kind of understand why people would like having a dog.
Lewis loves his dogs, of course, they mean so much to him. He doesn’t need Nico to be their biggest fan, but it does make him happy when he realizes Nico, after a few months into their relationship, seems to at least accept and slowly bond with them both. Yeah, he is still awkward about petting them and doesn’t want them to sleep in bed with them when he sleeps over, but at least he will feed them treats and isn’t as sensitive about the slobber anymore.
And then, Coco passes away. :(
Lewis is heartbroken, of course. He’s so sad. And it does bother him a little bit that Nico might not be able to understand what he feels right now, since he didn’t have such a close bond with her. But Nico, usually so aloof, is so caring. He holds Lewis while he cries, commissions a pendant for Lewis he can wear on a necklace, lights a candle for Coco, orders Lewis’ favorite food for him, and is just… there for him.
But Lewis isn’t the only one who is grieving; Roscoe is visibly sad.
After a few days, Nico asks what is wrong with him. Lewis explains that dogs, too, can grieve their friends like humans do, and Nico just lets out this sad little „oh…“
After Lewis showers that night, and comes back to the bedroom, Roscoe is on the bed, wrapped in a fluffy blanket. Nico is gently petting his head, and talking to him quietly, telling him how much they all miss Coco but how she is in a better place now, and how at least they still have each other. „We are a family, hm?“ he says, scratching Roscoe’s ear.
Years later, Lewis still remembers this as the moment when he knew Nico was the one for him.
A decade later, when Roscoe is old and grey and spends most of his day sleeping, Nico is the one to bring it up.
Super random! In the version where Seb and Kimi are an item with Kimi and the rehab pack, Kimi meets Leah, and is kinda annoyed that neither Nico or this quarter Finnish pup speak any Finnish. So naturally whenever Seb is babysitting, he starts teaching Leah Finnish, and being a clever kid she picks it up super easily. Queue extremely confused Lewis and Nico when one day when grandpa Keke calls and Leah starts babbling to him in fluent Finnish.

Kimi being pissed at Nico for not speaking Finnish to Leah hahaha he’s like „you chose german over finnish“ *disapproving kimi stare* so he takes it into his own hands!
I also absolutely adore the idea of Kimi and Seb babysitting for Nico and Lewis!!!!!! And since their kiddos definitely speak finnish, Leah learns super quickly as they play together… she is truly a polyglot queen.
I can see Nico being super submissive, like he purposely PUSHES Lewis to punish him by being a brat. I also feel like he'd like it really really rough, especially in the first year of their relationship. Maybe at the start of their relationship even Lewis was a bit hesitant because he'd once left bruises on Nico's from being super rough and felt guilty, but Nico was all like "but it's sooooo good!!!"

And as he does, he realizes: no, maybe this isn’t something he really wants; it’s something he thinks he is supposed to want.
They overcome every pre-conceived idea they ever had about sex together, and create their own little bubble of kinks and wants that they are super happy and comfortable in.
Did PA George have a real crush on Lewis or just harmlessly engaging in some flirty banter? Either way, Nico coming in like that duck with a knife meme.
I don’t think it’s a proper, real, serious crush- it’s more like… admiration, and George’s deep need to be validated and recognized by people of authority (you better GUESS he had a big ol’ crushy on Mr. Wolff in school).

I definitely think that Nico's Roman Empire is that he found Lewis attractive pre-glowup. Like I imagine when they first got to know each other and had their love-hate relationship, Lewis was a bit on the shyer side, but still pretty attractive once you got to know him. But then in his 20s he had an insane glow up and changed his hair, got some tats and people just found him SUPER attractive suddenly, but Nico ALWAYS found him physically attractive. It's one of those things he would never admit aloud back then, but deep down he always found Lewis hot from the very beginning. Years later when they are finally together, he never forgets it, he loves to tell Lewis that he knew all along how hot Lewis was and everyone else was just late to the game. It also sometimes triggers his jealousy when Lewis and him run into people from their past, like maybe someone that when to college with them and they comment on how good Lewis looks and Nico just resists the urge to be like, "he's mine".

Nico is always very protective and at times jealous about his Lewis, because he feels like they're all only now seeing what he was seeing all along. Because it was never about the tattoos or the muscles or the hair, it was about Lewis' eyes, and smile, and personality. And it annoys the fuck out of him when people talk about a "glow-up" or about how "cute" Lewis used to look, because to him, Lewis was always a dream.
