In African lore, a vampiric entity who appears in the form of a firefly. The adze lives among tribal sorcerers of the Ewe in Ghana and southern Togo. If captured, it turns into a human and attacks its captors. If there is no blood available, it drinks coconut water and Palm oil. It especially likes the blood of beautiful children.
