1999 Vw T4 1.9Td in for tuning and a stainless steel side exit. Old exhaust off and new single side exit fitted up in 10mins. Then into Maha rolling road for set up and tuning. This one is under power from stock figures as usual through timing being a tiny bit out. 24 year old 230,000 mile vw T4 1.9Td in for tuning and a new stainless exhaust today. This one came over from Dudley nr Birmingham. With a few year and miles under its belt it still made pretty good standard horse power at 63bhp and 118nm. But……. Once we have it set up and a few small adjustments we see are rather nice 88bhp and 164nm torque. 25bhp and 46nm. Customer from Barrow in Furness with his Vw T4 2.5tdi 88bhp. Customer wanted our twin stainless exhaust system with quad oval tail pipes, and of course a Pendle remap to go with it. This one was 102bhp and 212nm of torque. But once set up and tuned file installed we see a rather nice 135bhp and 284nm. Well this was a interesting one. So customer came to me for a remap few weeks back with his Vw T4 2.5tdi 88bhp, but it was clear it was broken and had issues. Only marking 62bhp and 192nm it was way down on the stock 88bhp. We diagnosed a N109 issue and the customer went away and had someone sort that all out. Came back to us this morning and YES it’s back on form and now running a Pendle remap and kicking a nice 140bhp and 311nm or smooth progressive torque. That’s a 78bhp and 119nm improvement, no smoke and idle set perfect. Local customer needed a poorly vehicle sorting out. This one was down on power..... and for me to find out why. This is a 2001 Vw T4 2.5 tdi 102bhp model. As the first dyno graph shows it’s well down on power and torque with just 84bhp and 196nm. So after some data logging on our maha rolling road, we see that the maf reading is way out. Check the maf and the air box and air filter...... boom, air filter is dripping wet from a damaged air box. Second graph shows after new air filter fitted and box repaired. But still low bhp and torque, another data log shows maf reading is still way out.!! New genuine maf and boom, there she is. 133bhp and 317nm. Happy customer all the way from Scotland today. 600 mile round trip to see us for our stainless steel quad exit exhaust system and of course a Pendle performance remap. This one came already tuned (105bhp, 261nm) Once we put it back to stock on this 88bhp T4 and set up the turbo actuator, pump timing, intake and maf sorted we get onto tuning. This nearly 200,000 mile T4 makes a loverly 116.9bhp and 283nm. Customer on his T4 was so excited about getting his remap he turned up 48 hours early lol 😆 So cliff came to us earlier in the year with his T4 2.5tdi 88bhp and it made an amazing 42bhp with lots of little issues. Sent him away with a list of things to be done and he’s been back today to complete the setting up and tuning. So this one came in at 42bhp and 84nm.!! YES 42bhp. So today we managed a rather nice 153bhp and 337nm torque. So that’s an increase of 111bhp and 253nm torque.!! Meatball has been in to see us!!! Had his T4 1.8 Turbo in for mapping. BUT, this one has been done to a very good standard already producing nice results and a loverly torque curve for one of these in stock form.
