ok so congratulations ON almost BEING EIGHTEEN, I rly wanted to draw you something neat but after the fifth attempt I realized I still have the creative width of a tiny spoon. I hope you like this anyway, some flowery nerd boyfriends being their dorky dweeb selves. #slayme

so this was PARIS. much less of the eiffel tower, & far more herds of people, large tourist groups being marched around the various sights & attractions. she had stopped to gaze up at the MONUMENTAL construction after slipping off of the bus, her head tilting to the left as she silently processed the fact that she really was in a new city, in a new COUNTRY. liesel had made her great escape, yet now she was not entirely sure as to what she was meant to do with herself now.
she decided to take the narrower back streets--- there were no tourists, only locals. the delicious smell of fresh bread wafted along the road, & liesel stopped to buy a fresh white roll. her money was aplenty, she had STOLEN from her husband-to-be, yet any possible GUILT she could have been feeling was invisible. REMORSE was not a word in liesel meminger’s vocabulary.
the winding, one-way road led back to the river, & liesel sighed, pulling out her mobile phone. the gps tracker didn’t work as she was out of range, & besides, where was she meant to GO? biting her lip, she decided to stroll along the river’s edge instead, hoping it would CLEAR her mind. had she made a MISTAKE? no. marrying ludwig would have been a mistake. but was getting on a bus & escaping to a different country a GOOD way to deal with her problems? no, probably not.
weary legs sat her down on a bench & she pulled a cigarette out of her backpack. a man was painting next to the river & liesel watched him for a few minutes. he was quite good, but something was IRKING her. the detail of the water didn’t seem RIGHT, & liesel had never learned when to keep her mouth SHUT.
‘ the blue needs to be lighter. ’ the slight breeze blew the smoke away from her mouth, & the blonde leaned forward on her bench, hoping her words would carry to him. ‘ perhaps add a bit of yellow, but not white. that would be too light. ’

And I saw God cry in the reflection of my enemies And all the lovers with no time for me And all of the mothers raise their babies To stay away from me
