❛ brush ❜
send me ❛ brush ❜ for my character's reaction to your character running their fingers through my character's hair.
It said something, really, about just the kind of man Guy was, Killian mused as the older man stretched out next to him. He hadn't reacted in the slightest to the fact that the living room of his pent house had been turned into a blanket fort, every pillow in the place fashioned into some sort of throne for the boy who lay sprawled across them. He had simply stuck his head in and asked if Killian had any plans to come out and when the boy mutely shook his head he had disappeared, leaving him alone to his thoughts and memories. He was being stupid, Killian knew that. His mother had died when he was just a lad..he had no business to still feel this way when the anniversary of her death came along; but he couldn't help it. He always did..
Killian had planned to lay there in silence, alone, figuring Guy would read or work on grading assignments like he did every night.. but the entrance to his mighty fortress had shifted and Guy had reappeared, arms overloaded. He had answered Killian's brow arch with a grin and a shrug, setting plates and a bag of Thai food down before disappearing again. What the hell?
Now, Killian shifted as Guy returned, making room on the pallet of pillows. "You don't have to do this.." he murmured, blue eyes resting on the candles in his professor's hands. The other man either wasn't listening, or just didn't care because he simply lit them and went to work setting out the food. The flames from the candles flickered, throwing shadows across the blanket walls as the two ate in silence; Guy never once prying into what had driven the younger boy, quite literally, into hiding.
Killian had been more famished than he had thought, and the food was delicious. He laid back once he was finished, figuring that was when Guy would go do whatever work of his needed doing. "Thanks for dinner.." he mumbled, rolling onto his side and laying his head on his arm. He felt, rather than heard, Guy shift behind him and turned his head slightly in surprise when he felt the professor's larger frame stretch out behind him. "What are you doing? Don't you have work to do?" He could see the concern in Guy's eyes and he frowned slightly, giving a light shake of his head. "I'm fine, I promise. Just gotta get meself together." He closed his eyes against the threatening prick of tears, refusing to cry; he couldn't fucking cry. Boys didn't cry..his dad had taught him that. He opened his mouth to apologize but before he could get the words out, long fingers threaded into his hair and massaged into his scalp. Rather than explain anything, Killian sighed gently and relaxed under the soothing touch; rolling over to press his face into Guy's shirt. "Thank you.." he murmured, lips pressed against the cool cotton. He wrapped one arm around his professor and pulled him closer, letting the soothing motion of the fingers in his hair eventually lull him to sleep.
// so I fell asleep watching a movie today and let this be a lesson to not fall asleep around little kids. My nephew somehow got chewed gum ALL up in my hair. If you don't hear from me the rest of the night it's because I'm having a panic attack trying to get it all out. Literally a panic attack.
❝ i'd die for you, professor. ❞ ( oOPS )
Remus hadn’t heard those words in ages. And not words so directed at him. What it had always been was ’ we’ll all die for each other. ’ But this. The blood in his veins was terribly hot, and the clench in his chest making a terrible knot.
It was pain, he thought.
She had little known who Remus truly was. A very broken man, and one who has seen much. Too much than he’d like and he’d trade it any day for his innocence.
❝You’ll never have to, Rapunzel.❞ You’ll never have to, James!
❝You’ll live.❞ You’ll live, Peter!
❝If it was up to me, you’d live. Forever.❞ We’ll live forever, Sirius, just watch.
He slipped his glasses up, a hiss falling from his lips. "--Fuck."
