Maybe Vyann would fit better in the Aylan system.

It technically doesn't need a star as long as its fed (Warm-blooded meat planet). Vyannites are definitely smart enough to import and breed animals (and captives; but only those that hurt their mother planet. Like humans, by accident.)

And a system afflicted with themes of mutation, fervor, and extra-dimensional weirdness, Vyann fits better there than the Hirudian system.

This would also somewhat even out the planets.
