Welp, Alina Pash won Ukrainian national selection to Eurovision
Disappointed but not surprised.
My disappointment has nothing to do with the song btw. It's not about my personal preference at all. My heart is actually bleeding profoundly rn cause I have loved her art all this time prior to this week. (even more, i was rooting for her to represent Ukraine for 2 last years after I asked myself "well, after Go-A, who would I send?") I still love it, but new factors came into play. I don't have enough strength in me to explain it properly rn, but it's tied with our current political situation, and the ending of vidbir looked shady af, they didn't address those issues the publec had with her at all, while they usually do.
Europe will enjoy this beautiful representation of our culture and cheer a talented singer, and I will be torn between rooting for Ukrainian in Eurovision and my personal feelings about the matter and how I am not at all ok with how everything went down.
