Between Kyiv and Kaniv, on the steep right bank of the Dnipro River, there is the village of Vytachiv, which is considered one of the oldest settlements of the Polianske principality and Kyivan Rus. In addition to its fantastic views, the town is interesting for its chapel, built by Ukrainian human rights activist and science fiction writer Oles Berdnik, and a mill with a cafe designed by Kharkiv-based architectural firm Rintovt Design.
