“i can’t do this anymore.”

even though it feels real, even though it has to be real, glenn is having a hard time believing that any of this can be happening. he sometimes wonders if it is the moments between life and death, elongated and imaginative as his brain fires off all its last thoughts – maybe the same thing had happened to abraham. maybe it was lucille. he hates to think of that – hates to even consider that maybe he is still on his knees in the forest, dying in front of his pregnant wife. he hates to imagine what he would be doing in her position, and hopes that she doesn’t do it.
being alive again after what happened to him was strange enough – but bumping into someone who was a mirror image of him is even stranger. the other him also looks like he just crawled out of some kind of bar brawl, which is really what brings glenn to a screeching halt in his steps. he imagines maggie telling him it’s rude to stare, but decides that she would probably be staring, too.
“whoa.”
glenn stares, studying the man’s features and wondering how in any world this could be possible. he’d heard once that if you met your doppleganger on the street, you wouldn’t even notice that they looked at you – but looking at this stranger now, he knows that is absolute bullshit. he is uncanny, and it leaves him feeling unsettled. “i’ve seen some weird stuff, but this is definitely the weirdest."
