If I could I’d burst into everyone’s inbox and ramble about Starlight Express, but I know not everybody wants that in their askbox. So I’m not going to do that.
However, I am going to cast the RO’s as either Engines, Coaches, or Freights because I want to. I will try to provide relevant STEX content while doing so.
Engines- Self explanatory, the engines, they can race and come in three main fuel types. The mainstay Diesel, The new Electric, and The old school Steam.
Coaches- Get pulled around by the Engines, they can race by coupling with an Engine. Basically any type of Coach can exist, like observation, sleeping, etc.
Freights- Very similar to Coaches but instead of transporting passengers, they transport freight, such as lumber and gravel. They can also race when coupled to an engine.
MICELA: Honestly I see her as a coach, probably serving a similar role as Buffy (the buffet car) or Dinah (the dining car). Mostly because she works with kids. I honestly don’t think she’d participate in the races, instead choosing to spectate. I think she’d also support steam, or at least she wouldn’t bully the steam engines like the rest of the Rolling Stock.
LUCEYDELL: I also see him as a coach, mostly because they like to be pulled around. I don’t know whether he’d be part of Electra’s components (The abridged explanation of the components is that they are Electra’s polyamorous electricity cult.) Or if he’d be one of Greaseball’s hanger ons. Either way he’d be part of a group that gets pulled around, they’d like it. I also think Luceydell would bully the steam engines to watch them squirm all while secretly having a crush on them.
FAYETTE: Lookie, another Coach. Probably an observation coach like Pearl, for what I hope are obvious reasons. I think she wouldn’t care in the slightest about races. Not unless she thinks she can benefit from supporting someone. She’d also probably not bully the steamers but she also wouldn’t help them either.
PANDORA- Our first Engine. I think he’d be a diesel engine, much like Greaseball he’d be determined to win and unafraid to play dirty. He’d also mistreat his coach and racing partner like how Greaseball mistreats Dinah. He’d also hate steamers seeing them as beneath him.
SALLY- Another Coach, once again he’d be like Buffy or Dinah (because he’s a baker), I also think he wouldn’t care about the races at all. I only think he’d support racing if his daughter would want to race. Sally would also support the steamers, intervening when they are discriminated against.
EMMY- They’d be a Freight, because you know, big strong knight. I think they’d be involved in the races, but not a lot of Engines would take them due to the heavy cargo they carry. Emmy seems like they’d also only race with steamers, taking active action with their support.
ADEN- A Coach forced into racing. They really don’t want to but they have zero choice. Aden wouldn’t like racing due to being forced into it, they also wouldn’t interact with steamers. Not out of discrimination but because they don’t want to interact with any Engines.
MARRYJOY- They are an Eletric engine much like Electra. Unlike Electra they aren’t arrogant and obsessed with racing. They do the occasional race but honestly they don’t care either way. When they do race they win. Marryjoy would like Aden hardly interact with steamers, not out of discrimination but because they keep to themselves.
Whew, that took a while, this might become very inaccurate when the rest of the chapters release as I’m working off of the intro post and asks.
But for now I’m happy with this.Thank you for indulging me, I might be back to ramble further.
This is interesting, never heard of starlight express but it sounds interesting! I would be..... a coach perchance, i am not sure lol but I LOVED HOW YOU WRITTEN the ros, most of them do sound like how they would be one of those things. Gosh :3 i would lobe to hear another ramble heh
