W4F - Camping and Fly Fishing "Pisgah National Forest" Davidson River, NC
Ken Tanaka is back. This time camping and fly fishing in Pisgah National Forest on the Davidson River in North Carolina. I was taking my 4 year old out camping for the first time and this is a fantastic place to bring a little one. So many activities around that area. Fly Fishing, Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education, Bobby N. Setzer State Fish Hatchery, Pisgah Ranger Station, Looking Glass Rock, Looking Glass Falls and Sliding Rock. It's also close to Brevard and Asheville as well.

W4F - Fly Fishing "Texas Redfish"
Ken Tanaka of Wish4Fish is back on the water! This time in Texas fly fishing in Aransas Pass near Rockport for Redfish with Colton Scholfield of TXbigs ( https://www.txbigs.com/ ) Many of you probably recognize Colton from my Henry's Fork videos.
This was a challenging week! My trip was delayed a couple days due to a snow storm. Which then I had to take the northern route that was 20hrs! After getting there I did what I always recommend to all my fans. Hit up the local fly shop! I was staying in Austin, TX so we stopped by Liver Waters Fly Fishing. We wanted information about chasing some carp. We went to 6 different locations to find them and only successfully spotted them at ONE place! We proceeded to get skunked for 3 days in a row by these picky Carp. We did check out this spot where Chris from Living Waters mentioned we might see some rising Sunnies. Sure enough they were rising like crazy. So to get the skunk off of us we spent an hour catching these sunnies until we got bored. We decided to move on to the second part of our trip which was chasing Redfish!
We went down to Aransas Pass, TX on Wednesday and got skunked. I was beginning to think "did I just drive 20hrs and spend a week to catch Sunnies?? Thursday was ridiculous wind so opted to not head out. Which left us with Friday, the last day of my trip! Luckily we ran into several schools of Redfish and absolutely crushed it! Sight casting Redfish is pretty amazing. Caught so many fish between the both of us we lost count. The perfect way to end a trip.

W4F - Fly Fishing Salmon River, Pulaski NY
Ken Tanaka of Wish4Fish is back on the water. This time in Pulaski NY on the Salmon River for the Salmon and Steelhead run. Unfortunately I wasn't able to land any Steelhead but a couple were caught in our group. I was there with Douglas Outdoors for their annual Salmon Camp. I had an incredible time with a bunch of amazing people. I was lucky enough to have the NEW Ross Reels Animas with me and put it to the test with these beast Salmon. W4F - Fly Fishing Trophy Trout in Pyrenees, Spain with Salvelinus
Ken Tanaka of Wish4Fish is back on the water! This time fly fishing for monster Trophy Trout in the Pyrenees of Spain with Salvelinus. I was lucky enough to join owner operator Ivan Tarin of Salvelinus on an amazing trip of fly fishings the Pyrenees. He was the first guiding operation in the Pyrenees in Spain and his and his guides have well over 30+ years guiding these water. It is an absolutely magnificent fishery and destination spot. Besides the fishing the food, wine and surrounding are fantastic. A perfect place to take your significant other as well! Plenty of activities like a full spa, mushroom gathering, mountain biking, hiking, visiting ancient towns and wine tours. We had to utilize several techniques to catch these trophy fish. We were fly fishing streamers, dries as well as nymphing for these beasts.
For the dry fly and nymphing I was using my Douglas Outdoors Sky 9' 5wt, Abel Reel SDF, Rio Products In-Touch Gold line, Powerflex Plus Leaders and Fulling Mill Masterclass Fluorocarbon Tippet.
For fly fishing streamers I was using my Douglas Outdoors Sky 9' 6wt, Abel Reel SDF, Rio Products In-Touch Streamer Tip line and tied my own leaders with Fulling Mill Masterclass Fluorocarbon Tippet.

Ken Tanaka is back on the water. This time on the Watauga River in Tennessee.
The Watauga was running 2 generators and the water was high so no better time than to toss streamers. Started off with the Tanaka Your Socks Off and had a couple of short strikes with smaller fish so I then switched up to a Zonker. We ended up finishing on the lower section which is known to have some bigger fish so I switched back to the TYSO. Still a little early for dry fly and risers but I did get a chance at one riser.
