             the way shara mutters in her sleep. it’s almost always complete gibberish, but there are moments when she murmurs that she loves them before smiling. he’s never asked her what she’s dreaming about, but he likes witnessing the effect they have on her.

        ❝ that was some impressive flying you did out there today. very intuitive. ❞ a small smile supersedes the soft comment. lurking near the entrance of the briefing room, he’s been watching the joyous atmosphere, trying to restrain his own sense of relief that everything had worked out well, that his son has once again returned to him safe. pilots like her, like all of them, were every bit as instrumental to that. ( he’s grateful, he always is. )
