When the fieldfares briefly stop eating the apples in the snow, there are good opportunities for minimalist bird photography 😄
What am I up to? I was wondering the same about yourself...
Wacholderdrossel (fieldfare) im Rosensteinpark, Bad Cannstatt.
Yesterday there was hope that the snow would finally disappear – that was wishful thinking. Today a white blanket has settled over the garden again. But with the snow came a wonderful invasion of about 15 fieldfares, for whom I couldn't replenish the apples fast enough as they devoured them. Here are some pictures, more will follow.
The organizers of the winter event have extended it by another week due to high demand (Who asked for that?!). As a result, fieldfares have taken up residence in my garden and are demanding only one thing: apples.
That's the face of someone who says: "I'm hungwy."

The temperatures here are slowly rising above freezing. This gives me another opportunity to post some pictures of the fieldfares in the snow in my garden from the last few days.
