A beginning...
Broad planes of smooth tan skin rippled in waves as he stretched in one of the side hallways of the arena. His shoulders were wide and thick, muscle from east to west, head to toe. His narrow waist clipped off as she ran her eyes down his back side soaking in the art form of his body. He was a tall, English version of Michelangelo; well read and polite in just about every circumstance. He had a brash side, a brawler in the ring he used his power and size to his advantage over his opponents. She wished she was that lucky. Their first encounter had been short and sweet, any encounter after that was rushed and quick. Distortia the wrestler despised his good looks and holier then thou attitude in the ring. Kylie, the woman though, wanted him so bad she could taste him. Wade Barrett was hard to miss at 6 foot 4 inches of testosterone and charm. His dark hair cropped over the bluest eyes Kylie had ever seen. As she watched him make his way to the ring on one of the monitors set up backstage, she sat on an equipment box and sipped her root beer. They had chatted in passing; he always answered her questions and sometimes saved her a seat in the meetings backstage. She was so lost in her head she didn't even realize the match was over, until a deep voice shook her out of her head. “Can I ask you a favor?” she nearly jumped when she realized it was him.
Her brown eyes were cautious as she watched him. Fresh from a hellish match with Justin Gabriel; he must have looked a mess. “I need a ride back to the hotel. Drew and Heath are headed out for drinks after this and I’d rather not.” Still a little rattled she looked around unsure for a moment. “OK.” She hopped off the box and stood next to the catering table. He watched her braid her long hair quickly with small hands. He was a foot taller then her, but there was a way in how she carried herself that caught his eye. Her jeans were ripped at the knees but hugged her hips and thighs tight. He always had a thing for a svelt woman, full and curvy was his favorite and she was nearly hourglass shaped. He was imagining peeling back those pants, exposing the soft skin and exploring her with his tongue when she said, “I’ll meet you here after the final meeting.” “Yes thank you.” “No problem.” He watched the sway of her hips and back as she headed to the locker room for her things. Kylie was proving to be more then he could resist, he did not like getting tangled with anyone he worked with. He headed back to the men’s locker room, remembering her chocolate eyes as she looked up at him. He sighed deep. A temptress indeed.
As soon as the locker room door clicked closed Kylie was in full flail mode. He wanted a ride home, they would be alone…together….in car….alone. Why didn’t he ask one of his buddies? Why her? Why now? As she raced to put her stuff in her bag she nearly ran over two other divas. Heather and Erin had made their way into the locker room. The two girls had been very welcoming to her and they had been spending a lot of time together. Crap, thought Kylie, they were usually in her carpool from the arena to the hotel. “Hey ninja we are both famished, wanna grab a bite after the meeting?” Erin asked. “No guys I can’t I am just tired and want to get back to the hotel.” Kylie looked at the clock just over Erin’s shoulder, 10 minutes and counting. “Oh ok well we can catch a ride with Paul then.” Heather said walking to her locker. Kylie breathed a sigh of relief, mission saved. “ Alright well I will see you guys tomorrow.” Kylie rushed for the door. “Hey wait, we still on for the gym tomorrow?” Erin called from the bathroom stall. “Yeah sure uh 6:30 right?” “Yes Mam.” She could barely hear Heather’s reply as she was already out the door and hurrying down the hall. As Heather turned around from her locker she realized her and Erin were alone. “What the hell?” she said to Erin, who could only shrug.
The car ride started very awkwardly. They really didn't know each other and there was only so much small talk to fill the voids. Wade had squeezed his long legs into Kylie’s rental car, his knees were level with the dash and his arms and elbows filled the console area. “So why didn't you want to go out?” she asked him. “I can only handle Heath Slater in small amounts. The man is positively annoying when sober, and ten times as such when drinking. No thanks.” She giggled at that, Heath was a little obnoxious. “I just adore your laugh.” He said. “What?” “Your smile and your giggle are just lovely.” She bit her bottom lip before thanking him. No one had ever given her a compliment like that. She watched the road while he watched her. She wasn't so guarded tonight; he wished he could say more to open her up. What was it about her that captured his attention? The hotel wasn't far now and soon his time with her attention would be over. Suddenly she pulled into an old fashioned diner and parked. “I know you’re hungry, your stomach has been howling since we left the arena.” She smiled at him before getting out of the car. Truthfully she needed a little space between them. He was staring at her and the crowded car was too much right now. “Alright you read my mind. I can eat.” He stretches once out of the confines of the tiny car, hip dents peeking out over his jeans. As the pair got inside and sat down Kylie looked around the tiny diner, fifty style theme, cheesy waitress uniforms complete with a chalkboard menu behind the counter. She barely glanced at the menu, and watched several of the locals sitting at the bar. The city had some weird looking people in it. Wade had his nose in the menu and when the waitress came by for their order his meal was fit for two. “Do you have root beer floats?” Kylie asked. “Yes mam.” The waitress replied. “I will have a large root beer float thanks.” Wade looked at her quizzically. “I am not hungry.” She replied. “Not for food anyways.” Did she really just say that, out loud? “I completely understand.” He replied quietly, still watching her.
