Grilled Cheese and Problem Solving | Wade + Anders
Anders pulled two six packs out of the fridge and set them out on his kitchen counter anxiously, glancing down at his watch. Ever since Mason’s friend Andrew had mistakenly seen him full frontal nude in Mason’s apartment and assumed that the two were an item, he couldn’t help but feel completely at odds over their relationship. On one hand, he loved her. He knew that, it was an absolute no-brainer. She was his best friend and he couldn’t picture his life without her going forward. On the other, he didn’t want another relationship or anything like the heartbreak that usually accompanied them. Right? That’s why he’d been single all these years. That’s why he slept around. That’s why he wouldn’t commit. Not being monogamous was what he wanted... wasn’t it?
At times like this, when he was lost in his own thoughts and couldn’t seem to work through them, he always turned to his old buddy Wade to vent. With both a mutual love of ranting, beer and Wade’s exceptionally decadent grilled cheeses, they had always seemingly been able to work through their problems through mutual commiseration. And getting shit faced. And tonight was one of those much needed therapy sessions. Anders’ stomach growled just in time for a loud knock at his door to interrupt it. “Thank fucking God, dude,” he grinned, opening the door. “I thought I was gonna starve to death if you didn’t get here soon. I hope you brought an entire loaf of bread.”
