Yeah it was unnecessary, unfortunately not every official officer or any official personal of such have good temperament. That's one thing they obviously don't teach them, keep your temper in check and know how to be forceful in a non-harmful manner.

That's very true. I've never really seen any officials or the sort actually lose their temper, but they certainly don't come with any warm or friendly personality. Maybe it's just part of the job requirement to be a mean, hard person.

Granted they do have to deal with a lot of shitty people all day, and working in hospitality myself I know how hard it is not to hit some people over the head with a brick.

You shouldn't really shame the city, it was the action of two participants. She did the wrong thing, she struck him, he acted. It may have been wrong, but she's just as bad as him. Her age shouldn't matter considering he didn't know. But yeah :D

Oh don't get me wrong, I think she's an idiot for first trying to fare evade and then slapping the guy? Not a smart move. BUT he is a public transport official, he should be trained in how to detain people under those circumstances, and I'm pretty sure forcefully slamming people to the ground isn't high on the list. Regardless of age or gender or anything else, it's still not ok. I remember earlier this year at the Sydney Mardi Gras, a guy was grabbed by the throat by a police officer and slammed to the ground twice (I think twice), all because he swore at the officer. Again, not a particularly smart thing to do, but there was a huge uproar about it for a while. It's more the fact that this sort of violence in these situations is completely unnecessary that gets me so upset.

I definitely don't. I've been quietly tolerating it for a while because he was stupid but harmless. This just pushed it a bit. It wasn't the first time he posted some derogatory about women, but this was the first time he targeted someone specifically. He seems to believe I'm worth his time because when I deleted him the last time, he scolded me for deleting him then asked me to add him back pssh. Idk, I'm having a lot of trouble just letting him be and slipping away quietly because I've dealt with his bullshit for years. It just seems like too easy an escape.

Me too, man. I honestly thought I got rid of toxic people like that but evidently I still have a bit more cleaning out to do. That being said, I'm not going to let him off that easily. I've allowed that to happen too many times as it is.

  Thanks, guys, for responding to my bullshit :') sorry if I seem a bit thick-headed and stubborn at this point and don't take it the wrong way if i don't follow your advise or anything..it's just a complicated situation and there's so much more to this stupid story than stated in that little extract...that being said thank you again, you are all v good and I hope you'd continue doing this w others who need help
