I spend my late afternoons locked up in my room, lying in bed, staring at the ceiling and listening to a song while carefully interpreting the lyrics. I have a very small window--which my parents have always been trying to replace with a bigger one, but I always declined. I like it this way--turning off the light makes it instantly dark. Sometimes when I like to read, I plug in these Christmas lights around my shelves, just a minimal and enough light to read a book. I like life this way. Lost in a song, lost in a book. It allows me to divert from reality to something like oblivion.
